Phew.....This week has given me major jitters with the TISS rape case in Mumbai. It has left me with an eerie feeling. We have read about the rape cases of a India born American student in Mumbai. I as a human, girl and a concerned citizen of India did feel the jitters and was petrified at this incident.It shook me up after I read the detailed version of the incident in 'Mumbai Mirrior' and I was disgusted with all the explicit details. I understand the need for a newspaper to explain and caution people on how a friend betrayed the trust of those who she considered her friend but that does not justify the fact that it was written cruelly ( Can't explain the feeling ).
I still believe their are male friends who you can count on. We did not take into account about the fact that the victim who she claimed to be 'friends' with were not her friends directly ( her roommates friends) and she has not been their friend for a long period of time. I would rather define their relation as 'acquaintance'. It has been mentioned in the newspaper that she meet these guys through a room mate and had never been out with those guys more than 4-5 times. This definitely does not make them friends. And also girls please do keep in mind, when you say N O as 'NO' word be sure, loud and clear on this....
Usually I am very excited with word ' SALE'. I go total bonkers at it.......... but when the tag 'SOLD' was tagged along with the latest scandal of 'Slumdog.......... child artist Rubina it was a total shock. Rubina was to be sold by her farther to a British journo posing as a rich sheikh for 1 Crore 80 Lakhs...This is very tragic incident ....I really don't know, but after the fame of Slumdog the elder version of 'Salim and Latika' namely Dev Patel and Frieda Pinto have paved the way to Hollywood, but what happens to these little ones ? Since they might not have an idea or opportunity on how to pave their success. Who will do it for them?
I did read the interview of the child artist Shafiq Syed from the movie 'Salaam Bombay' who won the National Award for the best child artist and was livid at his condition. Shafig is based in Bangalore and drives around auto rickshaw in the city. He states on the fact that though he might have won such a prestigious award but it did not help him as he did not have anybody to guide him and also belives that limelight/fame can destroy your childhood if you do let it get in your head.
And last but the not the least........Wow it seems Adnan Sami has all the women drooling and fighting over him......Lucky man........This couldn't get much better with all that malicious accusation, scratching, biting, and displaying all the the assets and so forth.......Truly fulltu entertainment on Page 1 these days.....(Page 3 is all about the boring parties, rich and mean people at charity functions, dog shows, inauguration of underware stores etc)..... I guess Adnan ji aapko bhagwan na finally lift karwa diya......
