Ganpati Baapa Mooriya, Mangal Moorthi Moriya

It’s been long time since I have been last here. C is back he is making sure we do not miss our deadlines and keeps us on our hand and feet (No I don’t work in circus, it’s a publishing house) as usual but I do credit him with the fact that whenever he is in the office it is definitely livelier, louder and filled with laughter (He is the only one who laughs at his jokes, nobody does….)

I am back on my feet after my monthly spell of the viral fever (My mom and my friends believe that my personal physician’s household runs due to me since I am his most regular patient)

OK here is with the updates

Its Ganpati time……..yipeeeeeeeee….Since I have moved down to Mumbai I actually do know the meaning of festivals. In Mumbai whether it’s Janmasthmi, Ganpati, Ramzan or Christmas it’s celebrated like no other city. Its lively, you can see colour, lights, feel the happiness in the air, its more electrifying and it’s a total live wire…..

Love this city for its spirit, belief and hope.

This city makes one beautiful picture. As I was walking towards home I did pass many mandals with Ganpati. They all truly look beautiful. I decided that I shall seek the blessing of Ganpati Baapa. As in it wasn’t an enlightened moment or ‘the moment’ but whenever I thank baapa for all his blessing, happiness and strength it brings in spirit, belief and hope in my heart. I usually don’t seek any wishes or promise him any ‘modhaks’ if he does grant my wishes (I do sometimes bribe the other gods, they look a bit more ferocious than baapa) but with baapa its more about one to one connection, and more than asking its about giving to baapa so I always thank him for what I am today, for all the ups and down, the strength, patience and the teachings of life.

Visarjan day is just couple of days from now and I will miss baapa but as they say ‘Ganpati Bapaa Mooriya, Mangal Moorthi Moriya.’

Lovekar Pudsha Varshi(Come back next year)

Shall sign out with the above statement rather than my usual 'Cheers'. Its perfect.
