Its not easy to stop it. Everyone tries it really hard but it just comes to us naturally, as naturally as eating, breathing and sleeping. I have tried not doing it often, but sometimes it just happens. You can't control it. I am very good at it and renowned for this habit among all the people who know me.
Stop thinking dirty. I know you remember!!!
I am talking about Complaining and Cribbing.
All of us are cursing god, neighbour, traffic-jam, bosses, colleagues, friends, TV and so on........Oh I have even cursed my pin-up board at the office for not having any more space to hold up a couple of more sheets. I get glaring and muttering under my breath and expecting that this will clear the board.
Cursing and complaining comes to us very naturally. We are born with it. We find faults, mistakes and errors in others but we never look within our self. Do we think we are perfect? Can we do no wrong? God must have made us perfect I guess.
Don't we always complain that god is unfair because he has given your neighbour a thousand more than he has given you, but have you thanked god for giving you at least hundred because there are defiantly many more people who don't have money to consume one day meal also. I always complain that my home is smaller than someone who has a three bedroom flat, but has my conscious noticed that there are people who sleep on the footpath. I always complain when it takes me an hour to travel to get to my office but I am also aware that some people travel in second class for three hours to reach their work place daily. I complain on Sundays to my mom about the lunch I have to prepare. So I can skip making the roti's and just prepare rice and dal and my parents relish on this meal but when on weekdays my mom skips making roti's I am furious at her and complain to her.
So from today, I promise to myself that I will be happy in what I have and not complain on the what I don't have. I will try not to compare/evaluate my possessions with the others and always remember to count my blessing than my misfortunes.
Cheers!!!
Beware, we are all taking your word for it! You better not complain now. I sure wanna hear what Gee has to say to this!
